This editorial is so spectacular - I can't even beginn to describe how much I love it. The fashion, the colours (or lack thereof), the setting, the lighting, the models, the poses...
Little side note to Miss V: The dress on the right is what I would wear to the registry office if ever I marry.

Although I am not a huge fan of Kate Moss, I instantly fell in love with her in this editorial shot by Mario Testino from the August edition of British Vogue. I think she has never looked more beautiful or elegant! A lot of this is due to the impeccable styling and the fashion in this shoot is simply sublime - every single piece has gone unto my wishlist. Not that I could afford any of the clothes but, hey, a girl can dream! And that's what a good editorial should do - take you to places you will never go.
I have a love affair with blouses at the moment and I love the dropped yoke and the russet colour of this version by Miu Miu.
Love this ensemble by Luis Vuitton with it's patent leather collar and cuffs and whimsical print design.
Polka Dot beret - enough said!
Another blouse crush - this simply silk version with the stand-out sleeve design is amazing.
This editorial from a recent issue of GLAMOUR hits all the buttons for me: the rich colours, the clothes, the jewells, the Old Master Painting set-up....
It reminds me of the amazing series of recreated old master paintings by German photographer Rainer Elstermann:

Well, this editorial is less recreation and more interpretation but it certainly has the same spirit.

Like this one from the June edition of Vogue UK, photographed by Paolo Roversi and featuring the beautiful Guinevere Van Seenus. She always looks stunning but I am particularly taken by her in this shoot - amazing.

I am in total "dance mode" at the moment - if you are interested in ballett, do watch the engrossing four part documentary by the BBC Agony & Ecstasy: A Year With The English National Ballett. It is a forceful reminder of the demanding nature of the profession, both physicaly and psychologically; the marriage between athletic strenght and artistic sensibility.
But I digress, since this editoral from the March edition of myself has actually very little to do with dance other than its titel and the vague connection of the clothes to different styles of dance. Still, I like the humorous poses and the simple yet effective set-up of the shoot.

I it is not often that I fall for trousers but these two pairs from a recent editorial in Vogue Hellas are beautiful.
In fact, that's all the trousers I'd need. Both feature my favoured high waist; the black, slim-legged version would be perfect for evening wear while the light, Marlene-style pair would effortlessly carry me through the day.
We will be drafting trousers next semester at school, so stay tuned for my versions of theses beauties.
Let us start of the fashion year with this absolutely ingenious editoral from the December issue of Vogue UK. Set designer Shona Heath, fashion editor Kate Phelan and photographer Tim Gutt have created this beautiful, surreal Zodiac of fashion that is simply inspiring. It certainly makes me want to be a bit more experimental with my outfit photographs!
